Where do you live? What made you want to contribute to help raise funds for an animal shelter in Nova Scotia?
I was living in an RV and traveling all over the USA and parts of the UK when I discovered your book. I started contributing on the second book, it raised money for breast cancer. I wanted to participate because I love animals, especially dogs, I am a portrait artist, and at that time, my sister, recovered now, had breast cancer. I knew there was something I could do to help. Even a little bit. I do it now because every little bit helps!

Do you have a certain "style" in mind when you create your images?
I do have an image in mind when I work but it is always different in accordance with the subject and the owner (of the pet) sometimes they let me decide how I want to portray the subject and that is always the best.

Do you ever find yourself in a creative dry spell? What do you do to get yourself inspired?
Of course I do find I have creative dry spells and that is the pits when you have a job to complete. I find browsing art sites or photo images gets me going. There are times I have painted a subject 6 times before I am happy with the job and NO ONE gets to see it until I am content with the work.

Tell us about a current project you are working on?
Right now I am working on two very different things. I am a foster mommy for ASRM and I also set up veterinary services and write the adoptable dogs biographies. I have been experimenting with computer imaging and word art for t-shirts for the Aussiepaloosa coming up 06-21-2014. The other project is a large peacock ink on canvas painting. The effect of the ink is so intense I've enjoyed the project. And of course the subject matter is also new.
